Northern Trust Strengthens California, Minnesota Branches

Northern Trust has appointed Deb Finnegan as a managing director and James Seidel as a wealth
strategist for its San Diego, CA, and Minnesota offices respectively. In their new roles, Finnegan
reports to John Ippolito, president of the firm’s San Diego region, while Seidel
reports to James Field, Northern Trust president and Minnesota chief executive. Finnegan’s responsibilities include managing a team of bankers, fiduciaries and
investment professionals who work with wealthy clients and businesses in the La Jolla area, the firm said. She most
recently served as a private client manager with US Trust - part of
Bank of America Private Wealth Management - advising high net worth individuals
and families. Prior to that, she worked within the financial services division of Robertson Stephens in San Francisco, and was a commercial lender for BankBoston in Palo Alto, CA, and Boston, MA before that. Meanwhile, Seidel, who has 16 years of industry experience, will develop customized wealth management
services for HNW individuals, families, foundations and institutions. He is also a certified financial planner. In February, Northern Trust made a number of hires at
its wealth management business, bringing in a senior wealth strategist, two
wealth strategists and a wealth advisory managing director. Additionally, the
firm bolstered its alternatives group.
